in response to Roseb441702...ok sounds great, but did I miss something..what organization may this be. I have done a lot of searching with no luck. Not even the dental schools cut a brake in cost. Thanks
Briefly, I am 58 years old. I had brain surgery in 1993 that apparently has secondary issues to the secondary. Caused major ongoing infections that the doctors suggested the removal of my teeth. My saliva or lack of it has been the underlying issue to my understanding. 5 years ago, based on the medical issues, I was told the only other option was the implants and that my 'ridges' were good. I have been saving to get this done, but now my ridges are not so good. Middle of the road, it would take some sinus bones now, not sure about the bottom maybe only 4. The oral surgeon and dentist and now the ENT doctor who will be going in to scape the sinuss that have cronic infection. Since this issue wasn't identified for several years after the surgery my insurance wouldn't cover it. Had to be accident related. Since then my insurance has been replaced with an intermediate for medicare. I am told that this could cost $40,000. I am on disability and have been for 14 years. Don't qualify for any form of State help. I turned in my ticket to work so I can go back to work and have several very good prospects. The problem being I need my mouth to speak. I have $10000 saved for this but running out of time to save more. That took 5 years. So I am looking for any kind of grant that can help...or the very least a low ot zero per cent loan.
